I am writing to express my strong support for Greg Owen for Fremont County Sheriff.
Greg Owen is the kind of leader our community needs. He genuinely cares about the citizens he serves and the deputies who put their lives on the line every day. In a time when public trust in leadership matters more than ever, Greg stands out as someone who listens, leads with integrity, and understands that the Sheriff’s Office exists to serve the people of Cañon City and all of Fremont County.
What truly sets Greg apart is his commitment to responsible use of taxpayer dollars. He understands that every dollar spent by the Sheriff’s Office comes from hardworking families. Greg believes in spending tax dollars the right way — prioritizing public safety, supporting and properly equipping deputies, and eliminating waste. Fiscal responsibility and effective law enforcement should go hand in hand, and Greg Owen is committed to both.
He supports his deputies, values their service, and knows that strong leadership starts from within the department. When deputies are respected, trained, and supported, the entire community benefits.
Fremont County deserves a sheriff who leads with character, accountability, and common sense. I believe Greg Owen is that leader. Please take time at caucus to delegate for Greg Owen for Fremont County Sheriff.
Devin Stockham,
Cañon City
